5 MONTHS OLD
Colin's 5 Month Stats: Weight - 15 lbs
*We did not have an official doctor's visit, so his length and head circumference were not measured and the
weight is a rounded number because it was measured at home.
Sean and I recently enjoyed looking at old pictures of Colin and reminiscing the last five months. We cannot believe how much he has grown! Colin's head and neck strength continue to increase, so he has been spending a lot of time sitting in his Bumbo or sitting up in our lap. Colin has been recognizing his mom and dad for awhile, but he has started noticing us from across the room and will even search for us when he hears our voice. In true McManiman/Fiedler fashion, Colin babbles a lot. (Ageeee is his favorite "word.") Sometimes when we sing to him, he will make noises as if he thinks he is singing too! Colin loves spending time outside and taking walks. Sean and I love Colin's smiles, and we love making Colin belly laugh.

Everything goes in Colin's mouth. |
Colin's 4 Month Stats: Weight - 12 lbs 15 oz; Length - 23 in; Head Circumference - 16 1/4 in
Colin continues developing and learning new tricks. He holds on to objects and studies them for longer periods of time. In addition, he is learning to take his binky in and out of his mouth. Colin is interacting with us more - he grabs for our hands and holds on to them, and he is beginning to explore our faces with his hands. (He is so sweet!) We have increased Colin's tummy time to help with development and neck strength. This quickly taught him to roll over on his back. Colin is sleeping at least 9 hours at night, which makes his mom and dad VERY happy! However, he is still learning to take a nap in his bed . Actually, he is currently trying to take a nap, but he is screaming instead!

Colin enjoyed his first Bengals playoff game but was very disappointed in the result. |
Colin's 3 Month Stats: Weight - 11 lbs 14 oz
*We did not have an official doctor's visit, so his length and head circumference were not measured.
I returned to the Villa on January 4 (Colin's 3 month birthday) as a third grade part-time assistant. Even though it is very difficult to leave Colin in the morning, he has adjusted very well to the new schedule. He no longer needs a late night feeding, and he sleeps pretty regularly until we wake him in the morning.
Colin has definitely become more interactive - he watches closely as we sing or talk to him; when we smile at him, he smiles back; and he has even started laughing when we tickle him. Colin has also become very fascinated with his fingers. He studies them very closely and likes to put them in his mouth.
